The Short Version

Archie is a set of files you download and use locally. The Product itself collects no data, makes no network requests, and has no telemetry. The only data we process is what's needed to sell you the Product and run our website.

2. What Data We Collect

When you visit our website

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This may include: pages visited, approximate geographic region (country level), referral source, and device type. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not collect personal information from website visitors. Our analytics provider does not track individual users across sites.

When you make a purchase

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company), which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment information, email address, name, and billing address as required to process the transaction and comply with tax regulations. We receive your email address and order details from Lemon Squeezy so we can provide customer support and deliver updates. We do not store your payment card details.

When you use the Product

Archie is a set of local files. The Product does not collect any data, does not phone home, does not make network requests, and does not include any analytics or telemetry. Everything stays on your machine.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for these purposes only:

To process your purchase and deliver the Product. To send you product updates during your update period (6 months). To respond to support requests. To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never send you unsolicited marketing emails.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Lemon Squeezy (Stripe) — payment processing, tax compliance, and order management. Their privacy policy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

Vercel — website hosting. Their privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your email address and order details for as long as needed to provide customer support and deliver updates. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., for tax records).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, and request a copy of your data in a portable format.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you believe we have breached the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with us at the email address above. 8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We will not materially reduce your privacy protections without notice.
